Tips on how to plan & save money in your Boracay Trip
You want to go to Boracay to relax and have fun but also wanted to save money while doing it? It is possible to attain this by just following these tips we prepared for you guys. First, you need to decide whether you will book a flight to Caticlan via plane (Cebu Pacific, Asian Spirit,) or go via Roro to Caticlan. If you want to travel by plane, try browsing for a cheap flight online. You can look for a zero fare promo from Cebu Pacific. Usually you can get a round trip for only Php2800. So just be patient in looking for a good deal in air fare tickets. It’s a 45 minutes flight to Caticlan. It’s all about timing, Book flights in Lean Season to get affordable flights (Lean Season June 1-November 15). But if you like adventure then go via Roro, It may cost you 2000plus (round trip) it’s a 12 to 13 hours trip to Caticlan).
But of course you need to book your hotel in advance before your trip. I suggest you go to Boracay in Lean Season because the Hotel rooms are affordable that may range to 1000 to 1500 per room. Try researching for a nice and affordable hotel room online.
When you get to Caticlan you need to ride a tricycle going to Jetty Port (Php50 per Tricycle). From Jetty port you need to pay the Environmental and Terminal fee (Php100 for both fees). Then you need to ride a boat going to Cagban Port or Tambisaan Port. Then you need to ride another tricycle going to your hotel (Php25/person). So now you are already in Boracay, your next problem is where to go too to buy groceries and beach wear. There are a lot of affordable and expensive restaurant in the Island, and you can start by going to D’mall and have a nice stroll to check the establishments and choose where to dine. If you’re in a tight budget I suggest you go to Andoks, Cindy’s, Mang Inasal.
Fire Dance
When you visit Boracay you must experience watching a fire dance performance .I really love watching them performed and it really amazed me to see precision moves and delicate routines being execute. I also enjoy the tribal music they use in the background; it’s very relaxing and pleasing to the ears. It’s a bit dangerous to be a fire dance performer because you’re dealing with real fire here so if you’re not that careful you will definitely get burned. So if you’re planning to learn fire dancing, think twice because it takes lot of discipline and determination to learn it.
